Lami, Masarap, Namets!

thank you to ifoundme, i've discovered this entry to the cinemalaya festival. the film is titled, Namets, derived from the ilonggo term, namit/namet which means "tasty" or "delicious." the film features famous ilonggo personalities Christian Vasquez, Peque Gallaga, Dwight Gaston and Monsour del Rosario. Angel Jacob, the female lead star, is the only non-ilonggo cast, i think.

the movie is entirely in hiligaynon so be ready to read subtitles. hahaha. it is also shot entirely in negros occidental so you'll see the beauty of our place. this will be shown in manila, i'm not sure about cebu though. so if you're in manila or if you have the chance to watch this film, go! enjoy the film, scenery, and most of all, the sumptuous ilonggo food that i'm always proud of.
